Olivia is an Irish multi-disciplinary visual artist and maker, grateful to be currently based in the unceded, traditional ancestral territory of the Coast Salish peoples of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations - known as Vancouver, Canada. She completed a BA in Fine Art in Limerick School of Art and Design, receiving a First Class Honours. Olivia also received a Collector General Purchase Prize Award from the Revenue Commissioner of Ireland, for some of the work featured in her graduate show in 2019. She received an Entrance Scholarship from Emily Carr University of Art + Design to pursue a Master of Fine Art degree in the same year, and an Independent Study Micro-grant in 2020. She looks forward to continuing her thesis in the future.
Her practice addresses aspects of the human condition - how we perceive and interpret the world around us, drawing parallels between creative process and mannerisms of the mind through the lens of a neurodiverse experience. |
